5 Days / 4 Nights
Sunday and Thursday all year round
Departure on a scheduled flight to Amman. Arrival and assistance from our staff. Visa formalities. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner (as long as arrival at the hotel is before 9:00 p.m.). Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure to visit the Orthodox Church of St. George, where the first mosaic map of Palestine is located. Continue to Mount Nebo to admire the panoramic view of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea from the mountain. This place is significant because it was the last place visited by Moses and from where the prophet saw the Promised Land, which he would never reach. Continue to Shobak Castle, a lonely reminder of the Crusader glory, built in 1115 by King Baldwin to defend the road between Damascus and Egypt. The castle is located less than an hour north of Petra. Once called the "Royal Mount," it is perched on the side of a mountain, surrounded by a large area of fruit trees. Departure to Petra. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Full day dedicated to visiting the Pink City, the capital of the Nabataeans. During the visit, we will see the most important and representative monuments carved into the rock by the Nabataeans: The Treasury, a famous and internationally renowned monument featured in one of the Indiana Jones movies, the Colored Tombs, the Royal Tombs, and more. Petra is one of those places in the world that you must visit at least once in your life. At the end of the visit, in the afternoon, return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure for what is known as "Little Petra," just 15 km north of Petra. A gorge barely 2 m wide with its typical Nabataean architecture makes this visit unique and incomparable. It was inhabited by the Nabataeans and has many tombs, water vessels, and channels. A small path leads to some of the inner area, the Siq Al Bared. The scale of this area and the fact that it is a continuation of Petra gave it the name "Little Petra." Departure for Wadi Rum, the desert of Lawrence of Arabia. Excursion into the Wadi Rum desert and a 2-hour ride in 4x4 vehicles driven by Bedouins. This consists of a short excursion into the lunar landscape of this desert. We will enter the pink sands of this desert, which possesses a special charm provided by the granite massifs that nature has shaped into whimsical shapes. At the end of the visit, departure for Amman, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast and transfer to Airport.
